Clean Eatz in Mount Pleasant and Chihuahua Supermarket in North Charleston got high marks on their inspection reports, but inspectors still lowered their grades.
Clean Eatz is down to a “B” after a follow-up inspection last week. However, inspectors scored them out at 87 percent.
- The DHEC inspector observed an employee with a half-eaten meal on the prep table. The report says the employee was actively chewing and drinking.
- An employee spotted walking into the kitchen from outside and working with food without washing their hands first.
- A consecutive violation for not having a door for the room on the outdoor patio where the upright coolers are located.
Chihuahua Supermarket in North Charleston crushed the inspection report…scored a 98 percent.
The one violation was enough to bust their grade to a “B”.
That lone infraction is a “repeat violation” for not being able to provide a food protection manager certificate.
