In five days work will begin on Highway 61 near Bees Ferry. Drivers asked to News 2 to find out what’s happening and if there will be impacts to their commute on the stretch.
According to the South Carolina Department of Transportation, maintenance crews will be repairing the shoulder washouts near the railroad bridge overpass.
The plan is to work during non-peak hours, from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm, to minimize traffic disruptions.
Drivers should expect intermittent lane closures.
