The Joint Base Charleston Run the Runway 5K is Saturday, June 13th at 8:00 A.M. on the Joint Base Charleston Runway. The event is open to all DoD members and the public!
The 3.1 mile course is USATF certified starting at Taxiway Delta on to Runway 3-21 looping around the main military aircraft parking ramp and back. Race starts 8 AM on Saturday, June 13 2015.

Cost for event: $20.00.
No Race Day Registration or refunds. Includes race number, timing chip, and other items provided by sponsors.
Race Information:
Race start time is subject to delay based on weather, military and civilian aircraft traffic.
All participants must be able to maintain a 20 minute per mile pace on the course.
Race awards for overall fastest male and female as well as top three finishers in each male and female age group: 10 and under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over. The award ceremony will begin at 930 AM with the Top Male Overall and Top Female Overall winners.
Packet Pickup:
The general public will need to pick up packets on 12 June 2015, Friday from 11 AM – 6 PM at Fleet Feet Sports, 881 Houston Northcutt Blvd, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464, (843) 606-2546.
All Department of Defense (DoD) participants will need to pick up packets on 12 June 2015, Friday from 5 AM – 7 PM at the Air Base Fitness Center, 205 West Hill Blvd, JB Charleston SC 29404. Race Packets not picked up on Friday, 12 June will be available on Race Day from 630-730 AM.
Base Access for event:
Non-DoD ID cardholder participants and spectators will be allowed to enter the Air Base from the Rivers/Aviation Gate located on Perimeter Road, 6 a.m. – noon. DoD ID cardholders can enter through either the Rivers/Aviation or Dorchester gate.
Driving directions to Rivers/Aviation Gate:
From I-26, take exit 211, East Aviation. Proceed a short distance on E. Aviation to South Aviation Ave and turn Right. Follow S. Aviation Ave to the Rivers/Aviation Gate.
For Google Maps directions, enter “Charleston AFB Gate Parking” located on S. Aviation Ave, North Charleston, SC
Once on base, follow signs for event parking, which will be located near the start and finish lines.
