A few changes coming to Charleston Fashion Week

Local News

Charleston, S.C. (WCBD)- The first event for this Charleston Fashion Week kicks off today but it may be a little different than you remember.

For its 13th year, Charleston Fashion Week is shaking things up. The annual event is moving away from hosting a week-long event at Marion Square and is now having quarterly events. The first event is slated for tonight followed by events in June and September.

We’re told this year’s events are a nod to minimalism and are simply being called event no. 1, no. 2, and no. 3. All three events will take place at various locations throughout Downtown Charleston starting with tonight’s “celebration of style” kickoff happening at the Cedar Room. Guest can expect feature pop-up shop, a beauty bar, and the newest in fashion and trends.

Event no. 2 will take place at Memminger Auditorium and event no. 3 will close out the year at South Carolina Society Hall.
