Annual charity motorcycle ride collects undergarments for homeless veterans

Local News

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD)- Palmetto Goodwill’s 10th annual Undy 500 charity motorcycle ride is scheduled for Sunday, October 14th.

This event supports the Palmetto Warrior Connection which helps veterans transition from military to civilian life. This includes resources for housing, employment, education, and benefits. Palmetto Goodwill found many homeless veterans do not have access to clean undergarments, so they ask bikers to bring new socks, t-shirts, or underwear to donate.

The Undy 500 registration starts at 9:30 AM at Low Country Harley-Davidson and the ride starts at 11 AM. The ride includes scheduled stops and a scavenger hunt for a chance to win $1,000.

Registration is $20 per rider/ $15 per passenger and one package of new undergarments. For more information, click here.
