CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston Fire Department units are responding to a gas leak in downtown Charleston.
Crews are responded to the area of Magazine Street and Wilson for a natural gas leak.

The gas leak at Robert Mills manor has been secured. Residents are returning to their homes. Charleston Police Department units have cleared the scene.
According to the Charleston County Consolidated Dispatch, someone hit a gas line and the call was reported at 11:51 a.m.
Some buildings on Wilson and Magazine street have been evacuated, officials added.
Authorities also stated that multiple streets will be closed.
The Charleston Fire Department Twitter page added that SCE&G is on the scene and that 46 people have been evacuated.
