Berkeley Co. Emergency Operations moves to OPCON 4

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCBD) – Berkeley County’s Emergency Operations Center moved to OPCON 4 at 12 p.m. Tuesday.
 
Berkeley County is closely monitoring the track of Hurricane Michael. Berkeley County leaders have been meeting and discussing preparations for any potential impacts the storm could have on South Carolina.

The County is closely monitoring the storm and will be coordinating a response if necessary.  
OPCON 4 means there a possibility of an emergency or disaster situation that may require partial or full activation of the Emergency Operations Center.  

Because of the risk of high winds and potential power outages, Berkeley County residents should keep power utility company’s phone numbers on hand and report all power outages.
