BCSO: 2 people dead after domestic dispute turns murder-suicide

GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCBD) – The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office says a husband and wife are dead after an apparent murder-suicide on Saturday night. 

According to authorities, Oslen Patton, 44 and Rashad Patton, 37, were found lying in their yard with gunshot wounds, Saturday night. 

BCSO responded to a 911 call near the 200 block of Samantha Way just after 5 p.m. on Saturday. When they arrived, deputies say the two were lying in the yard. Oslen Patton was pronounced dead on scene and his wife, Rashad Patton, was transported to an area hospital where she later died. 

Authorities say Oslen Patton’s death has been ruled a suicide and his wife’s a homicide. This is the 5th homicide in Berkeley County this year and the 15th suicide.
