Berkeley County EMS crews save man’s life, reunite for photos days later

Berkeley County News

MONCKS CORNER, SC (WCBD) – The Whitesville Fire Department and Berkeley County EMS were called to an unresponsive patient last week.

When emergency teams got to the scene they say a construction worker had been electrocuted and was suffering from cardiac arrest.

The department said swift action from co-workers and Berkeley County EMS ultimately saved the life of that man.

Nine days after the incident, emergency services members who initially responded to the scene received a message from the patient’s family saying they wanted to stop by and meet the ones who saved their son.

Pictured are members who responded that day including Deputy Chief Bob Mixter, Captain Paul Yacobozzi, BCEMS EMT Matt Montgomery, Lieutenant Colt Roy, and Captain Travis Warren.
