GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCBD) – Looking for somewhere to eat this weekend? Goose Creek might be a great choice. The first “Eat in the Creek” takes place beginning tomorrow!

There has been a lot of talk about the need for more restaurant options in Goose Creek over the past few years and new places are starting to open.

This weekend, a big food festival will take place right here in the Space Shop Publix shopping center parking lot as one part of a weekend-long “Eat in the Creek initiative”

  • Ra Coffee Shop is offering 20% off of a drink with any food item purchase.
  • Two Keys Tavern will be offering 10% off all appetizers.
  • Three Little Pigs BBQ will offer a to-go special, $50 of BBQ for only $25, or you will get $1 off per person on the buffet when you mention Eat in the Creek.

On Saturday, a food festival with Goose Creek restaurants will take place in the Space Shop parking lot next to Publix.

The Goose Creek Small Business Alliance was founded last year by Jennifer Wise. She says they are doing Eat in the Creek to let people know about the dozens of places to eat in the creek.

“There has been a lot of talk, especially recently, about we don’t have enough restaurants in the creek – ‘where can I go to find this or does anyone have any recommendations for that’? So, we’re spotlighting restaurants in Goose Creek,” she said. “We realize there are over 60 local restaurants in Goose Creek, but a lot of people don’t even know they are there.”

Eat in the Creek takes place Friday through Sunday.
