BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A Berkley County Deputy along with the K-9 unit was on patrol when he stopped a vehicle for equipment violations, during the early morning hours on Monday.

The deputy requested permission from the driver, who was later identified as 29-year-old Wulf Osborne Judy, for consent to search his vehicle and Judy denied consent. The deputy retrieved his K-9 partner from his patrol car and conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle, according to officials.

K-9 Fox positively alerted on Judy’s vehicle for contraband being present.

A probable cause search of the vehicle was done and the Deputy located the following:
– Multiple new and used hypodermic needles
– Ripped baggies throughout the vehicle
– A hypodermic needle containing a brown powder liquid-like substance

The substance in the needle was field tested and tested presumptive for Heroin, authorities stated.

Judy was then placed under arrest for Possession of Heroin.
