BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD)- On January 5, at 2:11 A.M., a 911 call was received by Berkeley County’s call center in reference to a home fully engulfed by fire.

The home was located in the 100 block Pine Bay Drive in St. Stephen, according to spokesman George Oliver.  A body was found in the remains of the home, Oliver added.

An autopsy has been schedule for Monday to determine the cause of death and the identity of the victim.

SLED’s Arson Unit, Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office and the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office are investigating the incident.

The victim’s name will be released as soon as positive identification is confirmed.
