BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCBD) – We are expecting to hear opening statement Tuesday as the murder trial for Michael Colucci enters day 2.
Colucci is the former Summerville jeweler accused of killing his wife, Sara Colucci, in 2015.
News 2 was in the courtroom as 110 prospective jurors spent their day at the Berkeley County Court House, waiting to learn if they would serve on the jury for this trial. Officials eventually narrowed the group to 11 men and four women.
The judge told us she has set aside two weeks for this trial and believes they will be finished by then.
Court is expected to be back in session at 9:30 a.m.
