Berkeley County News

GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities are searching for a wanted felon who is considered armed and dangerous.

Officers with the Goose Creek Police Department tried to initiate a traffic stop on a vehicle Wednesday afternoon, but the driver fled on foot from the vehicle.

Berkeley County sheriff’s deputies assisted Goose Creek police in the search for the suspect – later identified as 27-year-old Clayton John Flagler.

Deputies say Flager currently has three outstanding felony warrants including pointing and presenting a firearm, burglary first degree and armed robbery. Those charges stem from a home invasion that occurred in Berkeley County back in June.

Flagler is described as a 6 foot 4 light skin black male with dreadlocks.

Officers say they were able to locate two guns found inside the suspect’s vehicle.

Deputies say residents should not be alarmed as law enforcement will be in the Goose Creek area for an extended amount of time. If you know of the whereabouts of Flagler, please call 911 immediately
