Local News

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD)- The Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ABVI) is challenging the community to learn what it is like to experience blindness or visual impairment.

In an upcoming fundraiser, participants will enjoy a night of bowling while wearing four different types of glasses which simulate vision impairment. The money raised will help ABVI continue to provide resources for local people with blindness and visual impairment, and support programs in the Lowcountry to prevent vision loss.

Strikes for Sight is taking place on Thursday, August 23rd from 6-9 PM at The Alley (131 Columbus Street, Charleston). Tickets are $25 which includes bowling and two drink tickets. Tickets can be purchased here.
