CCSO: Detectives charge teenager with murder following July shooting

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a shooting in the 4400 block of Farmwood Street in Ladson on July 4. 

Suzanne Richardson, 42, of Ladson, died on July,16 as a result of injuries sustained from a gunshot wound which occurred on July on Farmwood St in Ladson, according to Deputy Coroner Christina Harrison. 

Earlier today, detectives charged Biljoree J. Curry, 17, for the murder of Suzanne Richardson.  Curry was already incarcerated on an unrelated charge from July 2018.  

The homicide investigation revealed potential suspects inside the Woodside Manor neighborhood.  Through the investigation and witness statements, Curry was named as the person that shot and killed Richardson, according to Public Information Officer Roger Antonio.

Biljoree J. Curry is charged with Murder, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Violent Crime, and Shooting Into a Dwelling.
