Charleston Co. deputies investigate two early morning shooting incidents

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – This morning, around 1:20 a.m., deputies responded to a “shots fired” call in the 3500 block of Blanding Road on Johns Island.  

Multiple rounds were fired towards a residence and a vehicle, causing damage to both, according to Public Information Officer Roger Antonio.  There were no injuries following this incident, Antonio added.  

At around 2:20 a.m., deputies responded to a “shots fired” call in the 800 block of Hitching Post Road in the Ponderosa Subdivision of West Ashley, Antonio stated.  Multiple rounds were fired, causing damage to the residence.

There were also no injuries following this incident, according to officials.  

Detectives are actively investigating the two incidents and are working to determine the identity of the suspects. 

Antonio stated that there is no apparent indication, at this time, that the two incidents are related.
