Charleston County has a temporary solution for its recycling issue

Local News

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Charleston County has sorted out its recycling issues… at least temporarily.

The county says it will be sending its recyclable material to “Repower South” in Berkeley County.

That is where the garbage will be separated from salvageable materials. The rest will be turned into fuel pellets.

This is a temporary fix until a $24 million recycling center opens in the county next year.
