NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The best high school in the country is right here in the Lowcountry.
US News and World Report named Academic Magnet, which is located in North Charleston, number one.
The report looked at 17,000 schools and ranked them on six factors.
All schools were based on state assessments and how students are prepared for college.
Three other schools made the top 25.
Charleston County School of The Arts is number two.
Wando High School number four.
Charleston Charter School for Math and Science ranked 25th.
