Brackish Bowties to make surgical masks amid shortage

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Charleston-based Brackish Bowties is making surgical masks due to a shortage because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Seamstresses are making the masks with extra fabric and then donating them to hospitals.

The company said all purchases will help pay for the effort. It covers materials, labor, and distribution of the CDC-regulated masks.
