Catch Up on Lunch hopes to re-pay student lunch debts

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – 82 Queen, a popular downtown restaurant, hosted a recently launched “Catch Up on Lunch” initiative event to help re-pay student lunch debts.

The event offered light hors d’oeuvres and drinks as Queen Street Hospitality CEO Jonathan Kish delivered a check to leading members of the initiative.

So far, the group has already raised over $14,000. The goal is 20,000 which will go to children’s past due to lunch debt in Charleston, Dorchester and Berkeley Counties.

During the event, the group presented a check for $17,320.
