CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Charleston County deputies arrested a 39-year-old man for six counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
According to an affidavit, Brandon Hamilton Beiger is accused of obtaining and distributing material that contained a visual representation of minors engaging in sexual activity or appearing in a state of sexually explicit nudity.
During an investigation, deputies with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office executed a search of Beiger’s residence on May 15th.
The search was the result of a proactive SC Internet Crimes Against Children investigation that involved the download of filed identified as being related to child pornography.
The download of these files occurred on January 28, 2019.
During the search, deputies located a custom-built desktop computer where multiple files were found that depicted children engaging in sexual activity.
One file, a video, depicted three female victims whose ages were approximately between 12-14 years old, completely nude, touching each other’s bodies and kissing one another. Another showed video of victims of the same estimated age touching and licking each other’s nude bodies and kissing one another. Another focused on the children rubbing food on each other’s bodies.
At several points, the affidavit states the video focused on the children’s nude genitals.
The video had been branded with a logo known to be associated with child pornography and was distributed by Beiger where it was later downloaded by ICAC investigators.
Beiger is charged with five counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
He was transported to the Al Cannon Detention Center. His bond is set at $300,000.
