Deputies investigating after shots were fired, damaged house in Red Top

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Deputies in Charleston County responded to a call related gunshots that were heard around 2:00 a.m. on Hughes Road in the Red Top community.

According to Capt. Roger Antonio with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, deputies located the scene in the 800 block of Hughes Road and met with the resident who made the call.

While no injuries were reported, a bullet had damaged a window and bedroom wall of the residence.

Capt. Antonio said multiple spent shell casings were located on the roadway in front of the residence.
