Detectives arrest suspects for Kidnapping and Sexual Assault of 14-year-old student

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Detectives with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the US Marshal’s Service, arrested two suspect for the March kidnapping and sexual assault of a 14-year-old female victim.

According to Public Information Officer Roger Antonio, on March 23, the victim reported that she was abducted on the morning of March 22 from a bus stop on Hitching Post Road in the Ponderosa subdivision. 

The news release stated that she was taken to an apartment on Ashley Hall Road and sexually assaulted at gunpoint. She was located at a Savannah Highway business complex the following day, Antonio added. The detectives subsequently identified the suspects and obtained arrest warrants.  

Denzell Xaiver Furlow is charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor in the 2nd Degree and Kidnapping.

Davionne Allen Towns is charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor in the 2nd Degree and Kidnapping.

This is an active investigation.
