NCPD: 19 year old arrested after leading police on “lengthy pursuit”

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) on Friday was involved in a vehicle pursuit near the Highway 52 connector that resulted in one person being arrested.

The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) assisted.

According to NCPD, officers attempted a traffic stop on Dalvin Dixon (19) around 7:25 p.m.

Dixon fled and led officers on “a lengthy pursuit throughout the city.”

Dixon finally stopped near Rivers Avenue and I-526 and was taken into custody, along with two other people in the vehicle.

Dixon is being charged with failure to stop for blue lights and other traffic violations, while the passengers are being charged with providing false information to police.
