The Charleston County Council passed the first reading of an ordinance to ban alcohol, all-terrain vehicles, and the discharge of firearms at public boat landings. Officials say this ordinance puts unincorporated boat landings in line with municipal jurisdictions. We’re told this ordinance applies to nine locations in the county.
