Report: Suspect wanted for obtaining goods by false pretense

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston Police Department is searching for a suspect who is wanted for obtaining goods by false pretense.

Upon arrival, officers met with the general manager of Fred Anderson Toyota Dealership who advised that 6 checks were sent to the dealership totaling to $12,912.78.  The checks were signed and deposited into the bank account of Kenneth Irvin Wright, at USAA Bank, according to the police report.

The general manager stated that this is not the name of any employees that work at the business. The report stated the general manager does not know how the checks were taken or if they were taken from the mailbox or from the accounting office.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Kenneth Wright can call 843 743 7200 for the on duty CPD Central detective.

He is wanted for obtaining goods by false pretenses.
