West Ashley Middle School placed on Code Yellow after receiving telephone threat

WEST ASHLEY, S.C. (WCBD) – West Ashley Middle School has been placed on a code yellow lockdown after receiving a telephone threat.

According to Charles Francis with the Charleston Police Department, the threat was received around 11:15 a.m., but he did not provide details about that threat.

The Charleston Police Department is investigating.

Code Yellow is an administrative lockdown and a proactive measure, according to the Charleston County School District.
