WEST ASHLEY, S.C. (WCBD) – Deputies responded to reports of a shooting at a Hardees on Savannah Highway just after 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Capt. Roger Antonio with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office said a female victim, who was involved in a dispute with another woman, was shot in the hand with a black semi-automatic handgun.

The suspect, later identified as 27-year-old Joslin Noel Seabrook, was arrested and charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

Capt. Antonio said Seabrook’s children were in her vehicle, which was in the line of fire at the time the weapon was discharged. He said one of the gunshots struck the vehicle.

The children’s grandfather was called to the scene and took custody of the kids.

We’re told the victim was transported to MUSC with non-life threatening injuries.
