CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston Police Department responded to Pet Helpers on Folly Road in reference to theft from the building on October 14, according to the police report.

Upon arrival, the victims advised that three females came into the shelter and stole one of the kittens. One of the victims stated to authorities that the females identified themselves as Becca Dezzutti, Sam Bailey, and Patricia Burke.

They were advised that the females came in inquiring about kittens. After the employee gave them the normal speech that they give to anyone about adopting pets, they proceeded to the kittens station and started to pet them.

One of the females came to the front desk and started to carry a conversation about the cameras in the building. The female stated, “The cameras look cool, what room are they in”.

The victim noticed one of the females dressed in an oversized hoodie place a kitten in her hoodie. She went into the kitten’s station and realized that one of the kittens was missing.

The kitten is described as mized black and gold Tortoiseshell, 2.40 pounds.
