Coast Guard rescues man trapped in the Francis Marion National Forest

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCBD) U.S. Coast Guard officials rescued a man trapped in Francis Marion National Forest over the weekend.

Authorities from Berkeley County and the Department of Natural Resources called for help after the guy got stuck in some mud.

We’re told that mud was about waist-deep.

The Coast Guard Air Facility in Charleston sent a helicopter crew to help pull him out.

He was taken to Roper St.Francis Hospital in Mount Pleasant for evaluation, there is no word on his condition.
