College of Charleston to hold a Girls Day Out event for girls in the community

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The College of Charleston will host its 8th annual Girls Day Event.

The event will be held July 25 through July 27.

The purpose of the event is to teach girls about STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. 

It’s open to rising 8th and 9th graders with North Charleston Policewomen serving as camp counselors and instructors in cyberbullying, human trafficking, and social media safety.
