LADSON, SC (WCBD) – The South Carolina Department of Transportation is expecting repairs on the College Park Road overpass to wrap up on time.
Concrete pouring began on Wednesday morning.
Crews will continue pouring layers and curing. Once that is done, the DOT said the road on the bridge will need new pavement marking.
The projected completion date remains “before Memorial Day.”
The repairs come after a tractor trailer carrying an oversized load hit the overpass in April. The South Carolina Highway Patrol charged the driver following the incident.
