$2,500 reward offered for information in the death of a 19-year-old

COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) What happened to 19-year-old Prince Polite? The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office has donated $2,500 to Crime Stoppers of the Lowcountry in hopes of finding an answer.

Polite was last seen alive with a male acquaintance on Johns Island back in May of 2017.

Law enforcement recovered the victim’s body the morning of May 17, 2017 in a wooded area on the side of Wiggins Road in Colleton County. They say he had been shot multiple times.

The victim had ties to the Red Top, Green Pond, Beaufort, Charleston, Johns Island, West Ashley, and Walterboro areas of South Carolina. Polite may have frequented a night club in the Red Top area of Charleston prior to his death.
