Coroner identifies teenager killed in N. Charleston shooting

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) –  The Charleston County Coroner has confirmed the identity of the 16-year-old teen that died on the scene in a shooting incident on Friday, April 12th.

Deputy Coroner Elizabeth J. Dobbins stated that Michael Allen Green, a 16-year-old male from North Charleston, who died on scene due to a gunshot wound on Friday, April 12. 

Police say officers responded to the 1500 block of Sumner Avenue shortly before 7:00 PM in reference to shots fired. On scene, officers located 16-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The North Charleston Police Department is the investigating agency.
