CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) - Charleston Police say a horse pulling a carriage got spooked and the driver and a passenger were thrown off the carriage.
According to CPD, a horse was pulling a carriage around 3 p.m. on Tradd Street when it got spooked. Police say it started backing up causing the carriage to jackknife. It is unclear what spooked the horse.
The driver and a passenger were thrown from the carriage and received minor injuries. The horse was not injured and was taken back to the barn. The horse and carriage belong to Old South Carriage Company. The investigation is ongoing.
