CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is investigating after a motorcyclist was killed in a Wednesday afternoon crash on Folly Road.

According to CCSO, the crash, which involved a vehicle vs. motorcycle, closed Folly Road near Sol Legare Road around 2:50 p.m.

Authorities said a Honda sedan was turning left from Folly Road toward Sol Legare Road when it struck the motorcycle. The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

No one in the vehicle was hurt.

The road was closed for more than two hours while deputies investigated.
