UPDATE: Crews placed a steel play over the sinkhole. The street has reopened to traffic.
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Crews are working to make repairs to a sink hole in downtown Charleston.
The Charleston Police Department said the sink hole is locating on Liberty Street about 20 years from King Street.
Storm Water employees are working to make repairs. People traveling in the area should use an alternate route.
Police say Liberty Street in both directions in that area will be closed while repairs are being made.
