DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The Southern Contracting will be conducting a daily road closure Harleyville, according to the news release.
The road closure will be conducted on 2nd Bend Road at Highway-178 in Harleyville between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. beginning on Wednesday, March 27 through Friday, March 29.
Public Information Officer Tiffany Norton stated that the road closure is necessary to install a new waterline for the Dorchester Reach. The news release stated a 10.7-mile distribution line from Harleyville to Ridgeville, that is part of the Lake Marion Regional Water System.
All scheduled times are approximate and dependent on the weather, according to officials.
Motorists are asked to plan ahead and if possible use an alternate route.
Northbound traffic on 2nd Bend Road will be detoured onto Dogwood Trail to 1st Bend Road to Highway 178.
Motorists that need to access 2nd Bend Road southbound from Hwy. 178 will be detoured to 1st Bend Road to Dogwood Trail to 2nd Bend Road.
