Dominion Energy to host Charleston meet and greet Monday

Local News

Dominion Energy will return to Charleston to host a community wide event to answer questions related to the merger and customer benefits.

Under the approved plan developed by Dominion Energy that focuses on long-term bill relief instead of a one-time cash payment, the company is providing $4.5 billion in benefits to SCE&G electric customers, according to the company’s statement released to News 2. The result is typical SCE&G residential electric customer bills that are approximately $125 per month, which is near the regional average and well below the national average.

Customers will not recived the $1000 initally expected as part of the deal.

Monday rate payers will be able to speak directly with Dominion Energy representatives and get questions answered, according to the company.
