DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The Human Services Building located at 500 N. Main St. in Summerville will be closed for the remainder of the day.
The closure is due to water being shut-off to the building to make repairs and remove water damage caused by a faulty sprinkler head, according to Public Information Officer Tiffany Norton.
Repair crews are on-scene, Norton stated.
The news release states that the following county offices, located in the Human Services Building, are now closed: Veteran Affairs, Assessor, Auditor, Treasurer, Planning & Zoning, Building Services, Community Services, Information Technology, Alcohol and Drug Commission and the Health Department.
The offices of the Assessor, Auditor, and Treasurer located in the Kenneth F. Waggoner Building at 201 Johnston St. in St. George are open.
All offices are scheduled to reopen at 8:30 AM on Friday, August 3, 2018. Should this change a separate notice will be issued.
Dorchester County apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this closure may cause.
