Dorchester County Fire Rescue to host 6th annual Fire Day

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Dorchester County Fire Rescue invites residents to an afternoon of free family fun at the 6th Annual Fire Day.  
The Rain-or-Shine, pet-friendly event will be held from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at the Harleyville Town Park.  
Free activities for the kids include face painting, jump castles and a coloring contest for kids, Kindergarten through 5th Grade with prizes for 1st and 2nd place in each grade.  
All event attendees will get to see an Extrication Demo, Side By Side Live Burn, and a Helicopter Display.  
Food Vendors will be on hand with hot eats and cool treats for purchase.

Coloring Contest 

Kids in grades kindergarten – 5th grade, should bring their colored picture to the Coloring Contest Turn-In Booth at Fire Day. Pictures will be judged, and winners announced at the end of the event.  

  • A $25 Visa Gift Card will be awarded to the 1st place drawing in each grade.
  • A $15 Visa Gift Card will be awarded to the 2nd place drawing in each grade.
