DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Board of Trustees voted on a make-up day for the Dorchester School District Two.
At a called board meeting on April 30th, the Board of Trustees addressed the make-up day for the school closure on May 1st. The Board approved amending the 2018-2019 school calendar as follows:
Officials stated that June 7, 2019, will be a make-up day for students. This last day for students will have the traditional half-day schedule.
June 10, 2019, will be a teacher workday, according to the news release.
The May 13th meeting of the Board of Trustees has been canceled due to a meeting of the Dorchester County Council that evening at which time Dorchester School District Two will present the proposed 2019-2020 operating budget. The council meeting begins at 4:00 p.m. in the Summerville Council Chambers.
A meeting of the Board of Trustees is scheduled on May 20th at the Adult Community Learning Center, 1325-A Adult Learning Center, Summerville at 6:00 p.m.
