DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCBD) – Authorities in Dorchester County have arrested a man who is alleged to have been involved in the theft of a stolen camper trailer.
The suspect, 31-year-old Brandon L. Vinluan was taken to the Dorchester County Detention Center and is charged with two counts of grand larceny.
DCSO dectectives have also located the trailer, according to an e-mail from Major Tony Phinney.
On Tuesday, deputies with the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office responded to Public Storage on Dorchester Road after receiving a report about a camper that was stolen from the property.
An incident report says the camper contained $20,000 worth of personal items.
Surveillance video from the property shows an older model F250 truck enter the property around midnight Sunday morning. It also shows three people jump out of the vehicle, hook up the camper and drive off.
A manager at the site said the security gates were not operating at the time of the incident.
Deputies say a similar theft happened the day before involving the same truck.
“We would like to thank the Colleton County Sheriffs office for their assistance in recovering this stolen property,” said Major Phinney.
