Deputies searching for suspects in numerous auto break-ins

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities in Dorchester County are seeking suspects in numerous breaking and entering of automobiles in the Summerville area.

According to the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened between April 22nd and 25th near the SC 165 and SC 61 corridor.

The sheriff’s office is asking residents in all neighborhoods to illuminate the night by leaving your outside lights on to deter the thieves.

They say everyone should have a 9:00 p.m. or 10:00 p.m. routine to let the dogs out and check to make sure your vehicles are locked. Don’t leave valuables in plain view, don’t leave the garage door opener in view, and please don’t leave your keys in the car.
