Dominion Energy to close Summerville customer service office

Dorchester County News

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) Dominion Energy is closing its doors in Summerville.

Starting July 26th, all customer service operations will be moved from North Cedar Street to Leeds Place in North Charleston.

Operations employees will continue working at the Summerville office.

Following that announcement, Summerville Mayor Wiley Johnson reached out to us saying:

I am afraid that this reduction in service by Dominion will have a negative effect on the quality of life in Summerville. There are still members of the community who use the customer service center on cedar street.

Dominion says it decided to close the office with fewer people going there.

You will still be able to pay your bills at all four Walmart stores in the Summerville area.
