SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities in Summerville arrested a man on 19 charges connected to the exploitation of a minor.
According to a release from the Attorney General’s office, Tony Adkins, 26, of Summerville was arrested on April 12 after investigators determined he distributed multiple files of child pornography.
The arrest came after investigators received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children which led them to Adkins.
The Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigators with the Summerville Police Department made the arrest.
Adkins is charged with 19 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, second degree, a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count.
The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
