Final arrest in Cummins Turbo fatal shooting

Wednesday afternoon, U S Marshals along with members of the North Charleston Intelligence Led Policing Unit arrested the 3rd and final suspect in the fatal shooting outside the Cummins Turbo Plant on March 14th.

Thomas Scott McFadden Jr. was taken in to custody in the Moncks Corner area of Berkeley county.

During the arrest, a weapon was recovered which was reported stolen out of Orlando, Florida.  The weapon will be processed and the ballistics properties will be compared to evidence recovered from the scene.   

Witnesses said a man was leaving the warehouse on Palmetto Commerce Parkway when a car drove up and fired shots at the victim before fleeing the scene.

When officers arrived to the scene on March 14th, they found a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds in the parking lot. That victim dies from injuries they sustained during the shooting.

The first arrest was 23-year-old Ishmal Rashad Weston, the second arrest was Jamal Dwayne Smalls Jr.

The Berkeley County Sheriff Office and Charleston County Sheriff Office assisted in the latest arrest.

McFadden is charged with Murder and is expected in bond court Thursday.
