Firefighters respond to Mount Pleasant townhouse fire

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) — Firefighters respond to a townhouse fire in Mount Pleasant early Thursday morning.

Mount Pleasant Fire Department, Mount Pleasant Police and Charleston County EMS responded to the 1300 block of Cassidy Court around 2:15 a.m.

Upon arrival, firefighters observed a townhouse with flames showing through the roof. 

According to Chief Mike Mixon, the middle house was burnt to the bone.

Battalion Chief Troy Thomas said the fire destroyed three homes.

Fortunately, no civilian or fire department injuries were reported. 

Firefighters are still working on inspections.
