GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — March 5 is moving day for a Georgetown County Fire/EMS station. The department’s Andrews area station will relocate from Andrews Town Hall to 470 West Cottonwood St.

The station is setting up inside a recently remodeled building that was constructed with a grant from the USDA. The new location is still in the town limits, less than a mile from the existing address at Town Hall, and the move will be accomplished quickly. As a such, there will be no impact on residents, said Assistant Chief Tony Hucks.

Town of Andrews officials will be invited to tour the building as soon as the move is complete.
